Who I am, why this site exists, and what's coming. Short version: I build things to fix stuff that bugs me.
Hi, I’m Keane. I build things to fix everyday annoyances. Mostly my own.
My day job is mostly data, with a growing side of AI. But the fun bit is after hours, when something small keeps bugging me and I think, “I could just build that.”
Case in point: my money app. I used a free money app for years. It was fine, but I couldn’t add the things I wanted:
- Snap a receipt and let AI log it.
- Upload my bank statement and have it checked against my books.
So I built my own, where I can add any feature I like. I moved 5,000+ old transactions over and checked every balance matched to the cent. It now lives on a little server at home.
So, this site. It’s my notebook. You’ll find:
- Notes. What I built, what broke, what I learned.
- My journey. Quick looks at things I’ve built, at home and at work, each with a little “how it works” diagram.
Some notes will be short. Some will be about things that went wrong. That’s half the fun.
